Students & Residents

Our chapter supports area medical students and residents pursuing careers in family medicine. We prioritize mentorship opportunities, leadership development, and creative academic endeavors that benefit our central Texas community. Students and residents are encouraged to join our mailing lists and attend any of the events on our calendar.

CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIPS

The chapter awards scholarships to students and residents related to activities in any of three domains:

• Leadership

• Exploration of family medicine

• Creative scholarly activities in the field

Scholarships are a maximum of $500 and are awarded annually on a rolling basis. The program is intended to be flexible and to support traditional and non-traditional endeavors. Accordingly, applicants are encouraged to describe how the funds they seek would forward their goals in a unique way. More detailed information is provided in the application itself.
