Chapter GRants
Statement of Purpose
The Heart of Texas Chapter of the TAFP awards annual grants every year for projects relating to health, wellness, and community enrichment. Applicants must be, or be sponsored by, an active or life member of the chapter. Previous grantees may reapply in subsequent years, though preference will be given to applicants seeking discrete funding for start-up expenses, one-time projects, or permanent equipment they might otherwise have difficulty purchasing.
All requests for funding should be submitted following the guidelines described on our annual cycle page and in the current year's application. Applications will be assessed according to the bylaws relating to the purpose of the chapter and the grants.

They received their second grant from our chapter in 2022.

Women in Medicine is a student group at The University of Texas at Austin that supports the professional interests of women pursuing careers in health-related fields. Their organization unites future doctors, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, veterinarians, physical therapists, and researchers. They received a grant from our chapter in 2022 to support their member scholarship program in its inaugural year.

A first-of-its-kind health clinic addressing the long-time care gap for men of color, BMHC is here to ensure the longevity of life for men of color by elevating it to an essential priority and providing resources designed to best aid them.
