After Manor Wellness Alliance's founding in 2018, they asked the residents of Manor, Texas, "What does Manor need?" The top response by far was local health care accessibility, especially doctor visits. With the collaborative efforts of local community leaders, health care clinicians, medical school and college professors, their students, researchers, and lay volunteers; Manor Free Clinic, the first project of Manor Wellness Alliance, was born. 

The Heart of Texas Chapter awarded the MWA's Manor Free Clinic with a grant in 2024, supporting their monthly 1st Saturdays where walk-in patients without insurance can receive free medical and social services. Learn more on their website.
